Waiting List: Due to safety concerns, each class has a maximum amount of students allowed in each class. For preschool classes, there is a maximum of six students. Our parent/child class has a maximum of eight parent/child pairs. Youth classes may have up to eight students per class. If you wish to register for a class that has a waiting list, please inform the front desk of your specific needs.

Class Placement: The YMCA offers preschool and youth swimming lessons. Preschool classes are for children ages 3-5, and youth classes are for children 6-12 years old. If you have any questions about which class your child should be placed in, please do not hesitate to contact the Aquatics Director.
Class Advancement: A child is advanced to the next level only when he or she can proficiently and safely perform the skills within his or her level. We expect each child to learn and progress at his or her own rate. Therefore, don't be discouraged if your child doesn't complete all of the skills within his or her level during any one session.
